Barcelona Ready for First Match at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

Barça organized a public practice on the home pitch in early November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
