Dominant Sabalenka Wins Consecutive WTA Player of the Year Awards.
The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight year.
The 27-year-old captured four titles – the most on tour – which included retaining the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to earn her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.
A Season of Consistency
Throughout the year, Sabalenka reached a tour-best nine championship matches, with defeats coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.
The star player also claimed victory at the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She spent the entire year as the top-ranked player, concluding 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.
This past summer, she became the first athlete to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams did so nearly a decade ago.
Historic Statistics
Sabalenka concluded the season with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and earned a historic eleven million pounds in earnings.
She earned almost eighty percent of the votes cast by global tennis journalists.
Later this month, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match in a bid to "raise women's tennis to a new level".

- Comeback Player of the Year: Switzerland's Belinda Bencic, twenty-eight, was voted after taking a extended hiatus following the arrival of her daughter and making her comeback to the sport at the start of this year.
- Newcomer of the Year: Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko was honored with the award after beginning the season ranked beyond the world's top 300 and soaring to the eighteenth spot.
- Partnership of the Year: Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend were voted after capturing their second Grand Slam title together.
- Most Improved Player of the Year: Amanda Anisimova was named after making five finals.
Recently, Carlos Alcaraz won three honours in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Awards, which included the season-ending top rank award, while Jannik Sinner was voted fans' favourite for a third time.
