Warning: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode finished on a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the main group to begin their separate journey, distinct from the additional parties.
This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.
That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.
What Defines the Combat Party
According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.
Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
For one thing, the team has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and stealing all the powerful objects to dispose of.
Casimir then paid off his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each member has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:
- The rogue, as the close ally and best friend, wants revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a hostile location.
- The strong character and The cleric, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- But, their position as key figures in the influential clan could enable the party reach areas they usually can’t.
- Moreover, Teor swore a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:
- The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.
This means them few options but to head to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.
