Two Charged Over Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Assault
Two men have been charged following a suitcase robbery where a suspected irritant spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.
A young child was among those injured during the incident. Several persons required hospital care and were subsequently released.
This event – described by police as was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
